Roles and Responsibilities
Production Management
- Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer requirements and optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and maintain a positive work environment.
- Conduct regular meetings with production staff to communicate goals, provide feedback, and address concerns.
Inventory and Logistics
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and shipping of finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and shortages.
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety guidelines and procedures to create a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies related to manufacturing operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements and Qualification
Technical Skills
- Expertise in managing and overseeing the fabrication process, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, machinery, and tools used in manufacturing and assembly.
- Proficient in production planning, scheduling, and resource management to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and quality standards within a fabrication environment.
Soft Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with team members, engineers, and clients.
- Willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet production deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications Required
- Education: BE (Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Electronics) OR MSc (Instrumentation).
- Experience: 2 – 4 years
